Any SALT here - Moondog? Bilingual AS child

ds2 is currently being assessed for AS. We had an assessment done privately with a SALT which shows a spiky profile, difficulties in expression... congruent with AS.

Now ds2 is bilingual and is speaking relatively well his minority language. But doesn't write or read in that language.

My question is: Is it OK to try and teach his write and read in the minority language too or is too much?
His db is learning to write and read, ds2 is saying he wants to do it too but I am not so sure...

Hard to say without seeing the child but many (I am talking dozens) of the children I work with read/write/speak/understand tow languages.

Most of the world is bilingual, not monolingual.

Thanks!
As a general comment, what do you think would be red flags for you not to try and learn to read/write in the minority language?

It not being something that was a useful thing to do.
