Countdown to appointment with Dr Elaine Clark at Portland Hospital

Dd is due to be 'given' the ADOS next month, by Dr Clarke. I'm just wondering what to expect when we get there.

Is euston station really only 3 minutes away from the hospital itself (as per aa route planner)

Will dd get a dx (if she feels relevant) on the day

How long does it take for dx to come through post

Does your LA automatically accept the private dx (I've found my la is so far been very accepting, but realise they could be awkward this time)

Can't think of anything else so would love being told what to expect at the actual appointment.

No experience of Portland at all, sorry, just want to say good luck I hope you and dd have a good experience. Is she at secondary, is that right? How does she feel about it? I would imagine you should get some form of feedback on the day, even if it's a summary of thoughts rather than clear cut dx. Hope u get your dx though, and quickly.

Why dont youi ring the hosp re directions? Good luck!

She's completely oblivious and its not bothering her at all. She's never questioned why we are going to these appointments and its always been us that's had to tell her. She is secondary, but at a unit as she can't cope with mainstream school.

I've googled the route planner lots of times and it says the same all the time. I guess I'm worrying over nothing but just need to make sure I'm prepared.
