Yes I've claimed for my three year old we got middle rate so I've asked for a second opinion because I think she qualifies for high care and high mobility.

My son had his first awarded yesterday - he's three and it's high rate for five years!

dd got DLA at 3. she has autism. is was a battle though. we were turned down, asked for reconsideration and refused again. appealed and got hrc (without tribunal). no mobility though even though i think we should get high rate as she has zero sense of danger, runs into the road, refuses to walk on and needs to be carried. Dd will turn 5 soon so will have another go at mobility.

kmummy - 5 years, wow. ours was for 2 years only.

I know I was expecting it to be two years and then a renewal. They didn't contact anyone either, but he recently had his diagnose assessment so all the reports where two months or less old and I just sent everything in.

Thanks everyone I am going to claim mobility for her as we always use a pushchair when out as she runs off and also won't walk if I'm going in a direction she doesn't wishtofollow . Ds I think will still get dla but I'm scared it will be cut
