Some of you probably know that there's an audit in Scotland at the moment about services for people with ASD and their families. You don't actually need a diagnosis to be respond to the questionnaire in the email below.
Go on, get it all off your chest!
Dear parent/carer,
The National Autism Mapping Project is being conducted in partnership with the National Autistic Society, Scottish Autism and Autism Initiatives. To further the vision of the Scottish Strategy for Autism, we have been asked by the Scottish Government to find out how current services are working together to meet the needs of people with autism or Asperger syndrome. We also want to find out about how communities support people in their lives.
In order to do this, we have developed two questionnaires that cover a variety of topics, which will help us complete the mapping.
We feel that it is extremely important to give people the opportunity to detail their experiences of provision for people on the Autistic Spectrum. Please distribute this questionnaire to any carers and individuals with autism or Asperger syndrome that would be interested in telling us about their experiences.

The questionnaires will remain open until the end of the project (April/May) so that we are able to gather as many people?s views as possible. However, please note that we will start to analyse the data for the final report in February. If you wish to ensure that your experiences are included in the final analysis, please complete the questionnaire by Friday 15th February 2013. We will continue to analyse data received after this date, but will be unable to guarantee its inclusion in the final report.
