managed to bag ourselves an appointment yesterday at the Elizabeth Newson Centre who saw straight through DS and think they know how to move things forward for him !!

After years of no support etc is this the turning point?

(no need to answer that)

Keep positive devient. Things can turn on 1 appointment, that's why we keep on fighting - for that 1 appointment!
all crossed here too.

Thanks everyone.

Handywoman it was through the GP. It's all happened quickly, about 3 months from the GP applying for the funding to getting the appointment.

Thats great
I would really hope this will be the turning point, and also see through any plan.
This is what they base their reputation on, being more expert than others, so I think there is reason to be hopeful

cornyclam · 11/01/2013 18:46

Oh wow well done dev Smile

cornyclam · 11/01/2013 18:47

Did ds go with you to the centre?

shazian · 11/01/2013 18:55

Really hope this is way forward for you & your DS Dev fingers crossed all goes well Smile

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 11/01/2013 21:04

Sounds positive, Dev. Smile [honk]

devientenigma · 12/01/2013 00:22

yes Agnes he did say he doesn't care who's toes he's stepping on lol.

yes corny DS came with us, didn't get back till late and then the nightime routine went right out of the window with DH being ill, so he's been out of sorts today, however he went and done a little bit.

I really hope it is a positive and things do turn around but I'm still not banking on it just yet.

Blimey dev, it's all go recently. No wonder you're a bit numb, so much action after so long stuck in the doldrums without knowing if you'd ever get anything.
