I have googled but it seems that if you don't get any form of benefit you can't apply? Please don't flame me - dh is a hrt, but we have a lot of debt/mortgage. We use the dla mainly for an asd friendly tutor. I really want to try a weighted blanket but would need to try to save - it's £150 for his weight.

I think you have to be receiving tax credits of some sort but not 100%! It used to be on income but they changed it! x

They used to take salary into account, max I think was 25k. They did change it and iirc you have be receiving FTC and DLA to qualify.

Thank you - it's just bad timing as we're losing the CB, so trying to avoid big items. Thanks.

You can make a weighted blanket for a lot less. Think LisaD123 has made her own.

www.togs4specialsprogs.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=41 might be worth looking at for weighted products?

We successfully made a claim last year - the only benefits we receive are DLA and Child Benefit. Used to get tax credits until they changed the rules!

We both work but have a joint income of less than £50,000 and neither of us is a higher rate tax payer.

Think it is duvet cover and tennis balls.

Thanks for the link. js Nightime is becoming unbearable tbh as he just can't settle. He loves the reflex ball rolled on him, but i can't always do it (3 other dcs)
Thanks mumtoprem - maybe I could email them rather than maing a formal claim. My mum is v good at sewing, might have a go.
