Hi guys and Merry Christmas to all!
So, while visiting family are babysitting or kids are ensconced in front of Dr Who, has anybody any good places to recommend in France? We reckon we can cope with the ferry and a day's driving south with various DVDs, and then we'd like somewhere to relax/collapse with a pool and an enclosed garden where little people can't escape. Any ideas or am I just fantasizing?
cheers, Summer

Hello, not sure what special needs you're dealing with but if you look on the National Autistic Society website there is a section dealing with holidays that lists a few properties in France. Apologies if this isn't applicable to you and sorry I can't personally recommend anything but we haven't been brave enough to venture abroad with our mob yet!

We are heading to CJ French retreat. Google it, it comes recommended by a friend who has two children with autism.

We have just found the places that we have stayed online by using the search engines and using the usual sites. We then look at the details very carefully and then ask any necessary questions of the owners - a lot of them are English and you can call or send an e-mail and it will be answered.
This year we are heading to the Charante. We are renting a house in the middle of the countryside in a small village, with a pool and its own enclosed garden.
We booked thourgh ownersdirect.co.uk this time.
