I haven't posted in a while, after getting a good statement (with the excellent advice from posters on this board) for my DS after so long I have been wallowing in the quite of no fighting but I am just so pleased I have to share Grin

My sisters wedding today and whilst I am VERY happy for them and wish them the best of journeys together I am sooo proud Of DS, he was page boy and sat soooo nicely through the ceremony and then went on to the reception and played very well with the few other children there, he charmed most of the people there and apart from one close call, which was quickly settled he was an absolute star.

I really am bursting with pride because of the effort I know he made today and while I could gush on fb I know my friends on there wouldn't quite appreciate how happy something like this has made me so I'm afraid I'm going to gush on here instead :)

Everybody have some virtual Wine on me, I'm going to pour myself a real one Wink

Gush away - well done to maybe Santa could find an extra wee stocking filler for him?
It's wonderful when the clouds part and their sun shines through

Weddings are a big challenge for any dc, sounds like your ds went well beyond the call of duty grin

Sounds like he did brilliantly so you've every right to feel so proud. I was just thinking the other day that even the small things that you take for granted with NT children can mean so much. I took my little 3 year old ASD boy to the post office the other day and there was a queue (arghh!) but he stood with me and waited brilliantly without trying to escape or grab everything on display which wouldn't have been the case a few months ago. I was so chuffed that I had to ring his dad straightaway to tell him!

Awww, well done mini boobybum, queues are horrid things, Thankyou everyone, Taking DS out to pick a special treat for doing so well today, a nice short trip to the toy shop and back :)
