my tribunal in feb - date for final submission is mid january

LA ed psych last saw my son in May. The LA are calling him as a witness.

Now got my ed psych report - a private report makes very interesting read and highlights how the LA has twisted the results etc. It shows that my son is making very little progress in school etc.

Im sat here waiting for the phone call asking for the LA ed psych to see him - he finishes school on tues so not going to happen now the after xmas he will be in school for 10 days before the report would need to be written and submitted to tribunal so time for them is running out.

I am going to send my ed psych report to the LA etc next week as Ive been advised to do so. I fully expect that this may be the thing that forces them to finally do something.

In reality, how soon did your LA ed pscyh see the child during the tribunal process and did the LA try and get the report done after the deadline for final submissions?

Everyone ive spoken to finds it very strange that there is noone from the LA sen team coming to the tribunal and that the ed psych has not yet seen him.

Our tribunal date is middle of March and we have just been told LA's Ed Pysch is coming to see ds on 15th of Jan. They have also brought forward annual review to end of Jan and Ed Pysch, specialist teacher, Speech therapist who will can normally net get hold of are all coming!!!

The la ed psych came to see my son for a follow up 3 weeks before my tribunal, the la then tries to put the report in a extra evidence at the tribunal. We had no objections as we were very confidant in our private report and it was allowed in as late evidence.

They will undoubtedly turn up at the last minute. There was a flurry of activity before the tribunal with the LA wheeling out people who hadnt seen ds for years who were laughably telling me it was nothing to do with tribunal and just a routine visit. Try not to let it bother you.

A year before. It did them no favours though!
They were going to send an EP who had never met DS1 at all but swapped at the last minute when they applied for an extra SALT witness and were refused on basis had no involvement with DS personally.

This sort of thing is typical - I wouldn't worry about it. The LEA did a last minute 'assessment' of my dd before our tribunal and submitted a report as a late submission which the panel accepted. It really didn't make any difference to the outcome as I see it.
