I know you's are sick of me feeling like a car park in the middle of a river is best place for us, but I'm back there again. Have tried posting in MH.

The usual crap enhanced with the prospect of DH about to lose his job, the one he's had for 28 year. Then DD1 had her 3rd baby on Sat, dd is a very petite, slim, small, well under 5ft girl and shes had a baby nearly 10lb. Obviously creating further problems, so now worrying about them. And to top it I am spending the 2nd day trying to put up the tree!!

As far as the tree goes, I just dragged the boxes out of the loft and let the Dd's do the rest, its actually quite good

I'm not sick of hearing it, devilish. I'm just sorry you do. We all do at times, I think.

Lots of worrying times for you, by the sounds of it, but congratulations on the baby!

The tree...they're over-rated.

Congrats on the new grandchild, and I'm sure your daughter will be better after the initial physical effects wear off. She's young, snd they heal much better than oldies like me. But you're her mum, it's your job to worry about her, and you're doing it very well . Is it a girl so dd gets her share of worries down the line?

Comedy tree disasters 'because i was so busy thinking about you' will be a nice story to tell the bubba when they're older. The job thing is a bummer though, even if it works out in the end, it's very hard to be positive about losing a reasonably ok job . Best avoid the river for now though, much too cold and dangerous for the drunken Christmas well-wishers who would embarrassingly try and rescue you

Hi Dev, sorry things are still so tough for you.

Have to agree with zzzzz though, wonderful to have a new life in the family with all that amazing potential in one little-ish package. Congratulation on your new Grandchild.

Christmas will happen tree or no tree. Best advice is don't stress over it - just leave it until you or someone else is in the mood to throw some tinsel at it - although again, I like zzzzz's idea on this one.

I am totally in denial about Christmas, haven't wrapped one present, can't walk across the floor for parcel deliveries that haven't even been checked mixed with box files full of paperwork relating to ds1.

The other day dh and I left the house really early, leaving my Mum babysitting dd and getting her off to nursery while we went to view a potential secondary school and then attend our school/LEA related mega-meeting. When we got back our advocate asked if he could come in for a few minutes and we stepped inside to be greeted by, well it's hard to put into words how bad it was actually. All 3 dcs pjs on the sofa, toys everywhere, all the packages and box files and not a seat or surface clear in the whole room - I could have died on the spot. Bless him he did do a double take, but then carried on as if he hadn't noticed we were living in a bombsite. Lovely man!

Sorry to hear about dh's job. I will keep everything crossed for you that things turn out ok on that front.

Stay away from that river and keep coming here to vent - we're all with you, even if we are just words on a screen don't forget, there are real people who really do care behind those words.
