I have been struggling to fill in a DLA form . i have spent absolute ages typing things up about ds2 but i think its so hard because although hes diagnosed AS the stuff that takes up my time and extra care is his oppositional and defiant behaviour not really stuff like helping him wash or sensory issues . tbh his AS is quite subtle but his extreme behaviour is not .

it was all written matter of fact , the time things take etc but i have just grabbed pen and paper and let rip about how he blows his top , physically hurts me , wrecks every family day out , wont do anything hes told and smashes my house to pieces . ive told them how i end up housebound because he refuses to go to school or leave the house after a meltdown . it reads like a bit of a sob story tbh .
should i send it ?

If it backs up your reports and can be used as eveidence of his great care needs then yes, if its too emotive then it may be better to take some of that out and keep to the facts relating to his dx. giving examples of how this effects his day to day/night needs.
