Recently ds (6.9) has started making things into other things but its EVERYTHING. Everything he eats, a sandwich is a hat, crisps are teeth, lego is lined up into a sleigh or stacked into a clock tower, it is utter constant 'mum mum look at me look at meeee' 'look at what i made' hes coming across as such a show off, anything anyone ele does and its 'look i can do that too mum look im better, am i better am i muuum' even when he cant do it. Hes even pretending to like food that he dosnt like and has never ate, i can see the visual disgust in his face the almost gagging on food the fact he takes a few bites and then 'im full' but he will say mmm mum this is lovely i like this mum look at me im eating it now seeee' even when he clearly hates it.

Hes appearing really attention seeking and it really is constant every other word out his mouth is showing off, any idea why hes doing this, its obviously not part of his sensory problems so wheres it came from??

I sometimes think they cram several years of delayed progress into one manic burst of intensive developmental practice. Bit like signing up for a total immersion language course or a scuba-diving holiday Grin.

Thats exactly what its like mariammama. Hes always been a a constant talker and needed all eyes on him but this is even worse, its quite embaressing because he looks so spoilt and my poor head! i have no idea where its come from. Can i presume this burst of imagination probably excludes any ASD though Hmm
