I feel like I'm caught in a viscious circle. Ds is being assessed for asd and school seem to be trying their best. He had some observations this week from a unit from the LA. Because he answered all of their questions correctly they're saying it's not communication that's the problem but emotions and they'll put this in their report. But his main problem at school is he can't express himself when his emotions are running high which then results in some incident relating to fight or flight. He's a barrier to his own education, sees himself as different, thinks he has no friends and hates himself but is very bright. Are there others where emotions and communication are linked - and how do we get some help?
