Hi.I know this has all been discussed before, but I would like to get DS some kind of light projector or similar for his bedroom. I've been looking at various sites, but it's difficult to tell exactly what they do or how good they are.

I would be grateful for any suggestions/advice. Many thanks Smile

I'll be watching this with interest as I asked pretty much the same question a couple of weeks ago but didnt get any replies. I was looking at the Mathmos one in particular.

Hi, we bought one about a year ago..we take our daughter to sensory therapy every weekend and she loves the projector and beautiful pictures on the ceiling.

We looked around a lot before buying as they are expensive, we ended up buying with total sensory online. We bought a projector bundle so she would have more than one disk to watch! The picture is very clear and she turns it on every night.

Thank you Ilovecake1 I will look at that site.Yes they seem expensive ,that's why I wanted advice before buying.I think it is something that he'll really like.
I don't want any more toys ,as he already has loads he doesn't play with !
outnumbered Hope this helps you too ! Smile

Smile and I thought that was quite expensive, but it seems there are much more expensive ones out there. we have decided against it for now, simply for financiel reasons, so if you do get the Mathmos projector I would love to hear what you think of it!

We borrowed the mathmos space projector from my son's CDC thinking he'd love it (likes lights, the moon etc) but it didn't hold his interest at all. It was like a lava lamp projected onto the wall if that makes sense?! I quite liked it,it was calming. Was v surprised he didn't. Do Cerebra still have them in their lending library so you could try it?

we have the mathmos one, dd3 loves it and has been using it for about a year with no issues. You can get plenty of different discs for it, not just the oil ones but of course that doesn't guarantee your child will like it Grin It's also well worth looking through the lighting stuff on the maplins site, you have to have a good root round as it's not all in the same place though.

Thanks for all the advice. The Cerebra idea is good, but I fear I have left it too late(as usual Grin)
I will have a good look at the mathmos one which I think will fit the bill and check out Maplin online. Thanks all
