Know LA's stalk this board. Do you think schools do too?

Name changed as I think I've been rumbled by the school.

Anyone else got that feeling, or is it my paranoia

If they need to read MNSN to find out what they are doing wrong [or right of course], then it is a pretty poor show

Maybe it might make them sit up and take note, nobody on here names schools although we do name LA's but they deserve to be named and shamed.

I would just keep your head down for a bit

If they do, I've just outed myself on the thread I posted earlier this evening - had though I'm stressed and going the bend with it

I always worry about that. I change my name a lot so they wouldn't find much if they did search me.

If any lea people are purposely stalking posters they are officially sad bastards

I have been suspicious in the past, but tend to think that if they do read what I post then it's a case of 'never hearing anything good about yourself', iykwim.

Believe it or not, given I'm generally a pretty open book, there are some things I hold back, especially if I think it will give them an advantage or the opportunity to twist things.

Overall though, I tend to think that anything they've picked up on here has been gleaned through less than honest means (in the sense of I'm happy for them to ask me anything, but if they feel the need to spy on me it's them that has the problem) and it would embarass them far more than me if I ever managed to catch them at it.

They would find it extremely difficult to use the information they've gathered off here in any meaningful way, as they would be giving themselves away in the process.

I'm guessing yes, and I too have been on a paranoia before but to be honest if I have "outed" myself its only by speaking the truth about what my Ds, myself and other members of my family have been through...so I couldn't really give two hoots, that and the fact that everything that has ever been said can be classed as documented (dates) by whatever they may decide to reveal from here..I have not named names etc it has all been for my personal information because those that should tell me think that is too much like hard work so I definatly could not give two hoots or a fiddlers fart for that matter :).

I do think it is an awful shame that they have to spy rather than spend their time doing the things that I have probably been on here questioning, I can also warn you to be sure your FB profile is not public...a friend of a friend has a staff member from Ds's school on his profile and due to many smarmy comments made by Ds's head teacher I know there is only one place that could of sparked her and that's FB, but one day she may realise that the comments I have put on there are purly for her benefit nothing nasty or such like just a little jab on a couple of ocassions.

If they are on here could they kindly log the feck off and go and print me an actual copy of DS IEP. I've only been asking for it for three months. Thanks.

Not bothered if DS's current school do tbh as nothing goes on here I haven't already said to them/aren't about to ask them directly. For the most part his current school is doing a pretty good job with DS considering the emotional wreck he was when he started with them.

He's in mainstream so noone day to day is an ASD "Expert" iykwim. Perhaps I'd feel differently if he were in SS being taught exclusively by ASD specialists? I also share their good practice with others - doubt any school is gonna moan about that tbh.

If DS's LAST school read what I say about them - well all I can say is I tone down my very low opinion of them for public consumption. What they did to my child was very, very wrong, and the damage done to our family long term has been no trivial matter.

All a bit sort of "nothing to see here -move along".

p.s DS told his teacher that my sister gave me an IKEA carrot for my birthday last week

DS old school was crap and discriminatory, still is and always will be. So if they are reading this.... and says.......he is doing marvellous now in a REAL school and the day is coming closer that you owe him that apology I mentioned. Tell you on the phone too if you like,

There is a saying "truth hurts" so maybe the less thick skinned ones will silently skulk off and do something about it and stop giving children such a hard and horrible experience of school life

my LA stalks facebook as my friend found out to her cost. she joined the aiming high facebook group and the staff running the group could then read all of her facebook page where she had put on a few rants and they did raise it with her. last night i had a meeting at a pub with a group of other parents - walked into one of the rooms and the whole inclusion team were sat there ! i just turned round and walked straight back out

If they do...... - and if your stalking me LA then get your bloody acts together or I'll take our case and make sure its splashed over every paper in the land. I don't make empty threats. There, that about sums up how I feel about our LA!

..... but it's only libel if its untrue - why the hell would we make this stuff up - in fact you couldn't - no one believes us when it is true - I mean who would believe that just because you have SEN/a disability you could be given a substandard education?!!

I think if you don't physically name people and you tell the truth then there's no legal recourse, however of course unscrupulous LEAs can use posts here and elsewhere to bully, threaten and intimidate. But they wouldn't do that, would they that would be wrong

It is amazing how multi-million (and in some cases) multi-billion funded public bodies act like 'victims' when challenged isn't it?

It is quite acceptable for them to defame parents by circulating information that is not true or simply to lie about meeting a child's needs but if you challenge this they act like you're mugging a granny.

Fancy having a job where you lie and follow people round social networking sites and then moan and complain when you don't like what you read.

If local councillors weren't so thoroughly shit, they wouldn't get away with it.

So what should be done? Make the parents stop posting, or provide support and training for those teachers and LEA who have become more accountable?

I'm pretty sure the school could find me in a snap if they wanted to, because ds1 keeps telling people my blooming MN name. I refuse to change it on principle though. I never name names, schools, or locations so they would have to admit to digging if they wanted to take 'formal offence', iykwim.

As others have said, if they are reading and see it down here in black and white, as well as the reactions of other people and the effect it's having on the child and their family, you'd think they would have the human decency to perhaps realise/admit they are wrong, recognise the suffering they are causing and bloody well do something about it.

My old and new LA know my username here. I've caught them out a couple of times. Not sure if the schools have also been on here. I would hope they had better things to do.
