Just wanted to let others know, we have had the best ever dental experience for my autistic nonverbal 2 yrs 11 months daughter.
Due to sensory issues and having a bootle continiously in her mouth for her first year. She has some decay. Then she fell down and chipped a tooth which lead to the tooth falling out.Our regular dentist would say she cant do anything cos daughter would not COOPERATE.Searched high and low couldnt find a dentist to deal with her not even private finally went back to my dentist for A REFERAL..then found out the lady had left and was replaced by a lovely young dentist.Daughter still would not COOPERATE and he refers us to A PRIVATE practice.Shes based in MOORPARK ,went yesterday and work that was supposed to take four trips, she did in one go we held her down so she did COOPERATE and ALL THE FILLINGS ETC WERE DONE IN ONE GO .
The poor lady was sweating!!! God bless her it was lovely and she did not even complain when she took of her gloves and noticed BLOOD Daughter had dug her fangs into her LOL! the cut was deep...just wanted to share honest this lady was brilliant. Worth every single pound

Glad you got the work done and it will be great if your DD is able to go to the same dentist as the rest of the family. However, it may not be so easy as DD gets bigger if she continues to be unco-operative.
Your PCT should have a designated Special Needs dentist - who will be able to deal with patients who can't co-operate or who are 'phobic'. Is that who you were going to ask for a referral to from the other dentist? This specialist service usually has access to facilities for sedation where needed or GA in extreme situations.

bigbluebus yes thats what i wanted to be honest i hated my dentists reaction to my daughter.if she had been more professional in quote,my daughters teeth would not have gotten that bad.she knew fuck all what to do and wouldn't admit it.I didn't want to sedate her and i did not want her teeth removed.I am happy that the new dentist has so much patience and drive.
is that our indigo?Welcome ,about time !I've missed you x x
