That was amazing, must be an inspiration to parents of severely autistic children .a bit frightening too as she clearly does not have any intellectual delay.

Sorry should've explained more! It's a young non verbal girl with autism that is able to communicate through her computer. Very inspiration video

Walter I found that scary too that she was almost written off until they discovered she could type. Also heartbreaking when her dad said they used to talk about her all the time in front of her assuming she didn't understand. I do that so something I'm working on now!

Haven't watched clip, but think I have seen it before. It is remarkable.

I had quite an early wake up call re: talking in front of dd1 - when she was about 3 and still largely unintelligible, she was clearly a bit upset about something g. It had been a long day, with dd2 teething and crying lots, and I got quite frustrated (with myself and inability to understand her) and said, quite despairingly "it would be so much easier if I could understand you" and dd1 broke down completely, howling and sobbing - she had obviously understood enough of my message which I thought was completely beyond her...

thats the reason why we have to be our children's Voice .im not giving up on my one and I take every little thing that the so called professionals say with a pinch of salt! thanks for posting
