DD (9) was off school last week with extreme stress due to spd. I told school obviously but no-one else in terms of parents etc...

She went back this morning to one of the children coming up to her and saying 5 days is a long time to be off with stress. She does not openly talk about he spd at school.

AIBU to think it is out of order for the child to know. He could have guessed but she has never been off with stress before.

Why would they have told the class? Hmmmm. That's a bit off. Telling the class that she was off sick would have been a better way to explain it.

I should have posted sooner. DD was a few steps ahead of me this morning and she told the child what was wrong when he asked. Thanks for your reply.
