we had our first one today with dd1. Her kindy put on an easter morning - playing, morning tea, easter egg hunt, and of course obligatory parade of hats... felt like a failure as a mum 
dd1's hat was as she had made it at kindy - plenty of others obviously did an up market version and mums put a lot of effort into those hats!!
Dd1 did not want to wear her hat in the parade but did well at finding eggs!! She also managed to win a basket of choc eggs and rabbits - strangely she wanted the basket more than the eggs - musn't take after me 
One little spoiler - one little shite went out of his way to shoulder barge past dd1 whilst his father stood and watched - however after the father looked up and saw eidsvoldian death stares coming his way - he quickly pulled up his son and 'disciplined him' Poor dd1 just looked at him having no idea why he did it to her.... BUT she did not let that spoil her day.
