SEN and Ebacc

Does anyone know if there is any provision within the new Ebacc for SEN? All I know so far is that it's more about retaining information for exams and less about working in groups. I've also heard a rumour that all the texts studied will be English. I don't mean just in English I mean from England!! Anyone any ideas?

I have no idea, I feel really angry about what I have read so far about the changes in the exams.

Dd2 who is dyslexic did really well with the current modular exams and has now gone on to college where she is studying modular courses.

Dd3 who has ASD and additional difficulties including anxiety is going to be thrown to the wolves with this new system. Which funnily enough is virtually the same system that failed me many years ago and I left school with 2 olevels.

Its a nightmare all round AFAIAC.

I don't know much about it, but I am also concerned that a child , whether NT or with Sn with a spiky profile could be disadvantaged if they "fail" in their weak subject but pass the other subjects.

It's a real worry - and compulsory subjects exclude anything creative. Hoping there might be a revolt frankly as its not worth people using their time in education being set up to fail (or that's how it appears to me
