Tall safety gates

I think I need them to be taller than pet gates. I've looked at a few garden gates but it just occured to me someone here might know a specialist company that does really tall gates for inside the house (its to keep ds, 13 away from baby's bedroom. Locks don't stop tapping...)

Could you just fit another door handle to the top of the door (they do this in ds's school) so that to open the door a tallish person has to operate both handles at once?

It's not the getting in, it's the noise he makes trying to get in, and he's a compulsive drummer/tapper so he wakes the baby up. I need a gate that can go across the hallway so he can get into his room but not near the baby's iyswim. Oh, and it needs to be cheap (have just spent £150 on door locks and fitting a normal stairgate to bendy bannisters

Ah, I see. I wonder if a local handyman could make you something that would fit? (I can relate to bendy banisters - except in our case it was wonky door frames!)
