She is oganising a play group with a one to ome helper for dd and said she needs to see dd in a enviroment like play group and if she is the same and has a diagnosis of autism she will be able to attend a specialist autism unit in september if not then a normal specual needs unit.

She said with my daughters level of difficulty if peadiatrician agrees she will probably be diagnosed within 6weeks. But i have no idea if this is good or not. She also asked if dd was always this serious and whether she hits me like this alot and if she blocks people out like she was doing alot. Would you say this was a positive meeting ?

It sounds positive to me. She is going to find a playgroup for your Dd and is thinking about provision for september.

When things move fast it must be scary but getting the right support in place for your Dd is a good thing.

Taking you seriously. Arranging further assessment. Considering placement carefully, and letting you know that she will probably be recommending specialist 'resourced' provision rather than mainstream with an untrained extra pair of hands... Very positive. Try to hang on to this ed psych if you can!

Thank you i am very glad you have both answered as i really had no clue as to whether it went well and she took me serious or not. I feel happy and positive now.
