Morph Suit - yay or may?

Ds1 is 7 and has mild (now) Aspergers. Pretty much Everyday after school he changes into a fleece snuggle suit and has done so for the last couple of years. He was very struck by those Morph Suits (top-to-toe spandex!) advertised on CBBC and I know it would make his Christmas.
However, he has really noticed his social differences since starting junior school this year and has been feeling lonely and down.
Am a bit stuck whether I should be encouraging his uniqueness or helping him try to fit in more (not that the morph suit would go to school haha.) Not sure a morph suit will help with the latter.
Thoughts please?

I havent seen them but after school in his own home I dont see that it would do any harm.

Dd3 changes into her PJ's when she isnt going out again after school and often doesnt get dressed at the weekends and in the holidays if we are staying in.

Dd1 has lots of mates that are boys who all have morph suits that they wear to every available fancy dress/party/disco/Halloween etc! They seem to be the in thing!! So I can't see that it would be doing much harm as lots of kids his age have them, it just may be that he will get a bit more wear out of his :)

DS2 wants one for Xmas.. (he has ASD and MLD) because he has seen other teenagers with them. Only problem is he wants a black one, and as he is 6 ft tall and very very thin he's going to look like a spider

I say yay... in fact, I am now considering one for my 14 yo DS. Until he outgrew it, DS used to sleep in a one piece fleece adult sized union suit - not because he needed to be in something like that, but because he was comfortable in it and could settle at night.

Now, if I were to get him a MorphSuit, it would be with the "don't wear it out of the house" set of rules, but I could see how, particularly for a child with ASD, one of these could help a lot with sensory regulation. It seems to me to provide the same sort of beep pressure that BodySox would

Ummm... deep pressure. Not quite sure what "beep pressure" is, but I don't want my 14 yo DS to know anything about it,

I have a problem............I was looking at them on Amazon AND amongst them were fancy dress suits of blow up cowboys and horses, blow up ballerinas.

DS said "ooooooh! instead of ninja could I have that blow up potato!

I had a full body leotard at the age of 14 that I was unbelievably comfortable in.

Much more than ordinary clothes.

Oh all right then. I Stupidly showed him a pic of the Bodysock thing once and he slept in his duvet cover for a bit afterwards he was so impressed. Morph suit seems a happy compromise to that.
