My dd is on p8 for speaking, p8 for listening and p8 for using and applying. What is does using and applying mean, it's only the beginning of half term and i have a mental block already! Also please can you all share some ideas with me for suggestions of how the school can help dd improve these, as she has another annual review coming up and want some brilliant ideas from you. Please help!

How old is your DD? The school should have their own ideas on how to improve these or be able to take advice from those that do.

She's in year 6! Got annual review the day they go back, so no time to ask.

using and applying is maths - how they use the number skills, etc.

Sorry can't answer the how question. But try googling "hampshire exemplars P scales Maths" for more information on what P scale levels are; no using and applying on the one I was given, but you might find something.
