We are getting all documents together, ready to appeal to LEA, regarding their decision not to assess.

I've got all details sent with original documents (ie Camhs letters, community paed. report, salt reports - private & nhs, Dyslexia Action report (done by independent EP)

But apart from getting DD's school & lea records, what else is physically possible?

Good legal advice from a solicitor well known to your LEA.

It was the only language my LEA seemed to understand.

Even if you only do a phone consultation&then you can bring it to SEN officer who you have sought advice from.

I think and hope people will agree it is better to wait until all details have been gathered, that way I will get the most up-to-date advice.

DD desperately needs a much smaller, ideally Specialist School. However, if enough 1-2-1 support was given (which we'll have to fight for) we would 'consider' mainstream.

DD is convinced she's like to be in a class of about 10, where the teachers and possibly peers, understand the main fear of rain (noise sensitive), where she could be herself and not get laughed at, which leads to crying. She just doesn't like jokes, doesn't 'get' them and see's everything as a negative comment, rather than people joking with her.

Thank you hothead I do keep considering it as there are a couple of issues that certainly fit. She blatantly refuses or avoids (those things that she feels is too demanding ) to do very basic things asked of her at home but at school she's so compliant. But is that not anxiety that she can't break things down into more manageable pieces. No one else has suggested it to me but I could always put the thought there first I suppose.

I've heard of the "what to do . . " books. Think ill be looking them up and ordering later. :)
