fair wear & tear?

we have a zafira motability car and tomorrow it is being inspected by the R.A.C as we get our new one in June.
As you know dd has cp and she sits in child seat behind me (driver) she has kicked the back of the seat and there is a scuff and a white mark on it. I am worried they are going to make us pay for a new seat.
But surely as she has afetiod cp(extra movement) and the kicking/extending is part her disability. so it should be fair wear and tear.
What do you think?????

I completely agree.

Good luck.

I agree also

Should be - but I know motability can be a bit quick on charging for 'damage'. Lets hope they are understanding.

BTW - how have you found your Zafira? We are thinking of getting one.

it's been great. if it wasn't for the fact we need a wheelchair adapted car would have stuck withit.
After all my worring the man hardly looked at the car. So fingers crossed we should be ok.

Thanks - sounds like it will be fine!

We too are just coming to the end of a motability agreement, and as you say, the RAC man hardly looked around our car either. When you take the car back to the dealer they do another inspection which you have to sign.

Just as a note about condition: My friend has just taken her Picasso back, the wheel trims all had huge chunks out of them, there was a dent in the drivers door and bonnet, one of the front windscreen wipers was bent, there was a deep scratch on the drivers door mirror and the interior was filthy. SHE GOT HER £200 GOOD CONDITION BONUS!!!!!

We are worried about a stone chip on the bonnet, you about a mark on the seat; I think we should both mention the above car if things get difficult!

Take care

I might be wrong but arnt stone chips classed as fair wear and tear?
I gave stopped worrying now When we took our last car back it wasn't checked. Also haven't a clue where ours is going as the new one is coming from Liverpool and we are in Sussex. I do hope we both get through OK.

Good luck with getting your new car, we are due to take delivery of the Zafira on Monday, so will let you know what they have to say! Can't wait to say goodbye to the Picasso.

Take care x
