My daughters nurse came today and dropped the bombshell that last time he visited e witnessed her having an absence seizure, and that it might account fr why her breathing durin the day is unpredictable. I'm gutted especially as we're worried about her development and also that it cannot account for her night time apneas! Anyone else have to deal with these?? Shes been like It since birth but now aged two I've just found out!! I swear it's not our week this week!

Yep every appt for ds comes with at least 5 phone convos chasing the appt, the results and then the follow up. And don't get me started on lost blood test results!
Sounds like you have had a small victory tho!

My daughter had an important genetic test done that shud have took 2 weeks! 6 months later I'd had enough of the excuses and found out after phoning the clinic in bristol that it hadn't even left the hospital!! i got the result 10 months after it was original taken! I'm always phoning up to get things chased up! I'm fed up of it tbh I wonder wat doctors are paid for :/

We saw ds' epilepsy consultant at hospital today. We said school was seeing lots of absences but we were only seeing a few. He has up the dosage of the meds but made a good point relevant to you.
He said people often ascribed lots of different behaviour to epilepsy and it was his job to be able to judge what was and what wasn't. He could do this because he had the training and experience.

He also put a lot of store in what we said as we know our ds so well.

He emphasised that a clear eeg was not conclusive evidence that there was no epilepsy but was just part of diagnostic toolkit.
