I've finally finished the DLA form but just need to ask you for one last piece of advice before I send it off.
Along with the form I'm also sending off two reports, one made by his SALT and the other by Ed Psych, which were written as evidence for the need of his statement. The SALT report shows beyond doubt how he needs an excessive amount of support during school hours. She describes him as having a severe social communications difficulty (he has ASD). On the other hand the ED Psych constantly uses the word 'some' in respect of all his difficulties, for ex he has 'some' difficulties interacting. She also says some of his behaviour has a learnt element, and I feel she's putting alot of his difficult behaviour down on his parenting. For instance, she remarks 'Mother descibes that J might be upset if he can't do as he pleases at home', sounds like how you would decribe a spoilt brat. Thing is, there are some really really good points she makes that I would really like the DLA to read, but she does play down alot of his difficulties.
To get back to my question. Do you think I should mention something on the top of the report about how the she's employed by the LEA, who are notorious for down playing a childs difficulties, (and how would I put it) or just send it and leave it.
Sorry if I'm sounding like a total headcase but I just want to get it right.
