How stupid am I?..................

Got help filling in ElLies DLA form, didn't get upset at all going through everything

Asked the deputy head at her SN School to fill in the back part

just read it and am crying (just a bit!!)

It is stupid because I know they can't write nice things on a DLA form, I just hope thats not how they really see her every day

i sobbed doing dd2 renewal forms. last time they were filled out she has eczema balence issues and vomiting problems. now it so much more. there was hardly any blanks boxes.

and of course this isnt how they see her each day, they wil lsee all the wonderful stuff too, but they just cant write it down.

these forms are designed to tear us apart i swear. You spend your how parenting life ficusing on the positive and what your children can do, then this brown envolope lands and suddenly you have to change your way of thinking whilst you fill them in.

Some things just take you by suprise!

No way is this reaction stupid!! these forms are horrible, writing about your child in (mostly) negative terms. SN school, I'm sure, just trying to get the message across to the office-based person who has to read/assess it.

Your DD is wonderful, what's on the form is only part of her.

Hope it all goes through ok for you both.

believe it or not it does get easier. DD is nearly 11 and I am so used to having to tell people/fill in forms about how bad it is. That it just goes over my head now.
The hardest thing I find is like when We were talking to the solicitor and telling him all the bad things. I always have to say but she's lovely
