Hi I'm not sure if this is posted in the right place or not. I have a 4 year old little boy who has just started reception (in his 3rd week) Already he has been moved classes (there are 3 reception classes) as he just isn't settling. He can have outbursts of anger and just doesn't want to do what he is told for most of the time. Occasionally he is like this at home too. In school he is becoming quite aggressive and has started throwing chairs (I'm mortified at this) and now the school has suggested that extra help should be brought in which they will apply for and he is going to just do mornings until 12pm lunchtime. The head of reception has also advised us to go see the GP and get referred.
I was just wondering if anyone could offer me any advice on how to cope, what to do or what will happen next. I understand that my DS will have to see an educational psychologist.
Thanks for reading.
