Hello there
Well thats it really,is there courses for children?
ds is 8,and we really want to help him with his social side, but i feel i fail at teaching him this,he dosent get it!! he forgets everything we say,and i just dont know what to do...
and we were thinking could a 'fun' group course type of thing help..
ds is adhd, aspects of aspergers and ODD.

have you spoken to his school about this?

asking because DDs SALT is talking about getting her involved in social skills groupwork at school.

it might be a long shot, but your LA might run something too?

Dd3 has social skills groups at school. They are supposed to focus on her areas of difficulty eg. conversation sharing and listener interest.

However, much as she loves going to the groups she does seem to miss the point and doesnt relate what they are teaching to herself.

Should be a school target on IEP.

Ask your local ASD outreach teacher what they locally support/recommend for schools. Or just NAS if you haven't got one.
