Whatthe...you need to get yourself a Glee cd!!
Manages to be both excellent and tragic at the same time :)

whatthewhatthebleep · 21/09/2012 20:19

hahahahaha...I would likely weep whichever way it went anyway....!

whatthewhatthebleep · 21/09/2012 20:22

Agnes so good to hear about a teacher and school taking on new concepts and using them so well for all the DC's
...ah fresh thinking and positive outcomes....great to hear the good stuff Grin

SilkStalkings · 21/09/2012 20:23

We can't have chocolate or crisps in our house, no willpower whatsoever me and DH.
Molluscum doesn't have to make you feel poorly. This'll cheer y'all upGrin.I had it for months, caught off DS1 but embarrassingly in the bikini areaBlush. Finally plucked up courage to ask Bf to have DS2 while I went to the STD clinc to get them all frozen off, naturally she thought t was hilariousGrin. But kept leaving it too long between treatments and it went on for ages. Luckily DH found trying to have sex around our pants (iyswim) a most amusing challenge.

Badvoc · 21/09/2012 20:24

"Don't stop believin!...hang on to this feeling!...don't stop believin!...yeah! Whoo! Etc....."

Badvoc · 21/09/2012 20:26

Sex around your pants?

SilkStalkings · 21/09/2012 20:27

HazeyJane is your name from the Phil Rickman books by any chance?

SilkStalkings · 21/09/2012 20:33

Yes sex around pants, only the hairiest bits had to be covered Blush.
Molluscum is hard lumps, they can look angry but aren't at all sore like spots. I used some smelly oil drops off eBay called (brilliantly) Molluscum-no-more and it worked on DS, not on me though.

Badvoc · 21/09/2012 20:39

:)

whatthewhatthebleep · 21/09/2012 20:43

woohoo...applause for badvoc singing glee styleee musak do up!!!!

Did Nick Drake not sing a song about HazeyJane is that your reference NN maybe???

hahahaha sex around pants....sounds hilarious!!!!
If I ever have a sexual encounter again I'm going to remember to try this...just out of curiosity Grin

Lolaismyfavouriteandmybest · 21/09/2012 20:50

Hi all, a strange thread tonight!!

I've been having cluster migraines all week Sad gotta have more time off work as battling on just isn't fixing me.

Better go as I shouldn't be looking at a screen Blush Just wanted to say hi (waves)

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 21/09/2012 20:50

Molluscs? What, oysters and scallops, or do you mean winkles...? Wink

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 21/09/2012 20:51

Sorry, Lola. Blush

NoHaudinMaWheest · 21/09/2012 20:54

Hi all. Hope I haven't missed all the chocolate. I can contribute some Fry's chocolate cream.

Sorry for all those whose Dcs are having beginning of the term difficulties.

Agnes great that you have a teacher who is prepared to be creative. Ds much preferred structure to freeplay and enjoys the additional structure of secondary even more.

Moose must go and visit you statementing thread though I don't think I'll have much to contribute.

Sign great about the house changes hope it works well. Enjoy your flolloping at Butlins.

Ds had a really dreadful 'stuck' day yesterday. Only managed to get him to school for the last lesson. He really is almost two people. When he is stuck he is just so disabled by his OCD, but once he gets unstuck he is a completely different person. His physics teacher has asked him to help with the science demonstrations for Open Day next week and I am sure he will do a great job.

Dh has had complex eye problems for years. He has now had all the relevant operations and was referred to the hospital optician to see if they could improve things. They thought they could but will also need prisms to balance his very different sight in each eye. He needs to see an orthoptist for this so no doubt another long waiting list. Still we really did think that he was going to have to live with his fairly low level of vision permanently.

whatthewhatthebleep · 21/09/2012 20:54

Oh lola horrible for you...sending vibes for soothing head and neck massage with a request of Reiki healing too..... angels en route now....xx

moosemama · 21/09/2012 21:15

Lola, I know you've probably gone, but if you come back have you considered asking for Topomax/Topiramate therapy for you migraines?

I had it about 6 years ago after years of having my life dominated by cluster migraines. I have only had a handful of migraines ever since and those were nowhere near as bad.

moosemama · 21/09/2012 21:19

NoHaudin, there are more orthoptists than opticians at our hospital, so hopefully he won't have too long a wait. Sorry to hear about ds's bad day yesterday. Hope he enjoys the Open Day - we are off to the local secondary Open Day with ds1 next week and all he wants to see is the science labs and ICT suites. Grin

Whatthe, do you do Reiki? My Mum is a qualified Reiki healer, but doesn't practice.

signandsmile · 21/09/2012 21:22

back from signing practice.... hi all, special 'i-know-what- you-look-like' wave for nahaudin IYSWIM... Grin, sorry to hear today was tough for yr ds Sad.

I always find flolloping is best done in someone elses house... (mine whispers to me that i should be 'doing stuff' not just flolloping...) i like ellen's waterbed idea.... Grin.

whatthewhatthebleep · 21/09/2012 21:23

Has anyone tried Cranial Sacral Therapy?

I took DS for some sessions a few years ago...he enjoyed them. I'm not sure that we went enough times for it to have been of notable help but have wondered if I should try this again for him.
He always emerged very calm and relaxed so maybe this would be a very good thing for him again now.

It may help with migraines, etc too. I seem to remember reading about this

whatthewhatthebleep · 21/09/2012 21:30

I have reiki in my life but seldom actually practice much. I use it on myself, animals often respond really well and love it and occasionally I find there is a need and someone within my company who it seems fitting to offer it to.
I often just send it out to people too, anywhere and everywhere...it's usually on impulse and feeling the need to, or sometimes it can just be a light touch on a person that will draw me to them.

It's always around me iykwim...I don't mention it usually and seldom talk about it at all. Smile

whatthewhatthebleep · 21/09/2012 21:33

sheela I can't imagine a whole week off...ever!!!
I had 3 days away once...about 6yrs ago....distant memory of a weekend in Blackpool...it was as you might imagine and a bit sad really

I hope you have a wonderful flolloping whole week....come and tell us what you got up to Smile

moosemama · 21/09/2012 21:34

Dh, myself and ds2 have all had cranial sacral therapy.

Dh is about to have another round, as last time it cured his labrynthitis and he currently has eustacian tube problems.

I had it as part of a post-natal osteopathy course, which was primarily to deal with SPD, but ended up being about my migraines as well. Actually it did help my migraines quite a bit. So that might be something else that's worth considering Lola.

We took ds2 when he was a few weeks old, as all he did was scream every evening for the first few weeks. He was a changed baby from the very first session. We brought him home and he slept solidly for about ten hours, then woke up happy and smiley. He had six sessions in all I think and was super chilled after each one. He's been pretty laid-back ever since.

moosemama · 21/09/2012 21:38

That's very similar to my Mum. She doesn't practice as a healer, but sends healing to those that need it and like you, sometimes just feels that someone needs her help and offers it.

I'm nowhere near as spiritual as my Mum, but she has at least taught me how to send love and light to those in need.

We're all very big on asking for help, iykwim. It's often a big comfort to my dcs, especially ds1.
