Hi Folks! new to this website and hoping someone can help. Long story short my 6 year old son has been diagnosed with severe specific speech and language difficulties, LA have agreed to a statement and i am currently at the proposed statement stage.
My son is currently in a good mainstream school however due to the recommendations in his independent reports and going by my gut feelings i believe that my sons needs would be better met at a mainstream school with a full-time language base unit attached, as i do not feel that he would cope very well with a duel placement as suggested by his school's S<.
I have been searching for a number of weeks for good schools with language units within North London and the surrounding areas that i may be able to visit but nothing of interest has surfaced as yet.
If anyone is able to recommend a good mainstream school with S&L unit attached i would be extremely grateful.
