I thought this was a very positive article for the wider world to read. It doesn't go into the huge challenges of raising a child with SLDs, but sometimes it is good to hear the joyful parts.

Sounds like hes describing my son but DS has a little language,I'm in a bit of a darker place than this father right now but I hope to get to the place that I can see life like joeys dad

Yes, lovely article, he seemed so open and honest about the challenges and the joys, without completely glossing over reality or being too sentimental.

Lovely article, sounds similar to my 11 year old DD. Joey's dad sounds so positive,i just wish everyone could understand and see kids disabilities this way.
