LVAD?

Misdee Saw your post on chat but didn't want to ask on there. Wanted to reply to it but don't know what a LVAD is

LVAD is a Left Ventricle Assistance Device IIRC. It is basically a pump that assists the heart. She did post a pic on member profiles of it once, but I don't know if it's still there (it was a few months ago).

I have just looked it is amazing and so are you(sorry don't mean to sound so creepy.)
I saw your message on chat about the car and have added a reply.
We got a lot of help from motability about changing the car(wheelchair access) thought they might be able to help you.
Not being intentionally nosy but will he be in a wheelchair?

nope, he is walking now. this time last year he was i na really bad way. the LVAD has given him a new lease of life. He was very close to dying last summer before the op to fir the LVAD. it was his life chance as he had waited too long for transplant. And he made it through Smile

he was in a wheelchair last summer. that was hard going. we went on holiday, i had dd3 strapped to me in a wrap sling, was pushing peters wheelchair then the other 2 dd's jumped on his lap for a ride lol. Grin
