my little boy is 3years 9months, possibly asd or adhd or both... im considering applying to the family fund for an ipad but before that my partner is going to lend ds his ipad for a month to see how he gets on seems pointless asking for 1 without trying him first.

any recommendations? i have never picked up an ipad in my life lol

Try peg puzzle that's free he may/may not be able to do it all depending on his ability. Try searching for 'free puzzles' or 'free autism' 'free toddler game' 'free preschool' or search for name of his fave cartoon character. We have peppa, Thomas and pingu games on ours and angry birds is always good :)
Howa his speech? There's an app called.gremlin that repeats what you say in a funny voice which is good

hi thanks i will definitely try those need to go to my dads signal is bad where i am so not managed to download anything, hes been playing on a helicopter game though and liked it.

his speech was delayed significantly but as made massive progress recently and its just pronunciation, getting sentences out and grammar really now so i'll try gremlin out. he loves octonauts so hopefully theres something about them or fish :)

can you donload films onto them?

I like this website cos the guy seems really committed to examining apps for kids on the spectrum and he shows you what they do before you commit to buying.

There are loads of educational type apps and some are great. Do a MN search for ipad apps...I have learnt loads from here!

You can now download NBC program's free through I player, which is brilliant and saves a fortune.
