I needed a laugh after all we've been through this year! Ds came home from first day and showed me his planner. In it he had to complete personal details, address etc including an emergency contact number. He wrote down 999 Grin

Please may I add something that made me smile today. Mildly autistic DS has hurt his toe quite badly running into a piece of furniture and is on crutches. Upon being asked how much it hurt he said "It's like my foot has been hit with a hammer. I've never hit my foot with a hammer, but I'm using my imagination." A small thing, but it gave me a warm glow...

He has just made us laugh again. A close family member has just had a mastectomy and we are visiting soon. He knows about the op and asked if she would look 'lopsided' and I explained that something would be placed in her bra so it wouldn't look any different.
So he said " do you mean a Belgian bun" Bless him.

one from earlier this year that still makes me chuckle

DD listening to radio in car, DJ says 'Next we'll be playing Englebert Humpadink'

DD laughs out loud 'on the radio?' she says

I says, 'yes, he's a very famous singer'

DD says 'oh, i though it was a game'

Dh's gran (in her mid 80's) asked dd (5, ASD) what she thought she would be when she was older. (meaning what job she would do)

Dd thought about it and replied "a grown up". Grin
