Hi

I tend to just lurk on mumsnet and read the posts but I thought today I would post in case this will be any use to other mumsnetters.

Our four year old son has autism and possible tourettes. He attends a special nursery 3 days a week, various autism groups and until July he used to attend a "normal" home education group.

It was whilst at this group that he started to experience something akin to bullying, the main reason why we will be home educating him (it is something I worry hugely about). I started to look for a home education group that catered for children with disabilities and Special Needs and phoned up various organisations to try and find one in my local area.

There were none.

Over the summer the opportunity came to take over a slot held by a now defunct group which we have taken.

Our first session will be tomorrow. It is not a money making group just a chance for home educated children with special needs to intereact and grow with other children. The group will be for under 10s and money towards room hire and activities will be required. If you're in Hampshire and you want to find out more then just message me for more information.

Thanks Smile
