Sorry have been absent, life caught up with me. Ds has gone back to school today and everything went like clockwork for a change. He's not exactly happy to go back and he's not had much sleep but I feel lighter and have more freedom now he's out of the house. Been in his room stripped his bed, opened windows and curtains and thrown the hoover round because he'll not let me in when he's at home. Dd goes back tomorrow so even better to come Grin although give me a week and I'll be fed up of early mornings, school runs and everything else Wink

mine both start back tomorrow, and it will be a day of mixed feelings.

they have both been really good this summer (on the whole!), especially considering the major changes - a house move a few weeks before they broke up, and a new baby brother just after they broke up... and due to all that I haven't had nearly as much time to spend with them as I would have liked.

BUT, once they are back I can get the house sorted out a bit more, without anyone 'helping' Wink, and can feel less guilty about spending time with ds MNing bonding Grin.

have so much to do before they go back, though - all the uniform to sort out, and name labels etc (need to find the shoe labels, have been missing in action for a while now).

am not looking forward to the school run already - nevermind having to be up and dressed (all of us!) hours before anything I have managed so far, I am outnumbered, and don't have enough hands for all the children, let alone the bags etc Shock - still not got plan for that!

DS has gone back today and I will start tackling the chaos! He sat in his bath claiming a headache but when the bus arrived he was straight out of the door! He enjoys school, so he will be fine.

But "some idiot" went into her office today - met her boss on the way in and was told that she was on leave Blush........I'd completely forgotten so am back home relishing a few unexpected "me" hours before I tackle the mess!!

My three went back today. First day went well. DS3 teacher already picked up more on day 1 than the useless one last year managed in 3 terms. Already adjusting her language and actually watching and copying the ABA 1:1 and then using similar language. And she got down to DS level and actually engaged with him. Of course she's only doing her job but after a year of a teacher who did nothing its a welcome change. With DS the first 2 days always go well, then the novelty wears off. She had a class visual timetable - DS does not use a VT but at least she's trying Grin.
