ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodohgod.

Year 10.

Only 2 years left of it.

Have i got the strength for another 2 years? I'm not sure.

Shes doing a pathway where she's aiming for just 3 GCSEs. With other 'equivelants' I am so not sure this is right. I think she'll be bored stiff within 3 weeks. And what the f does she do afterwards with 3 GCSEs?

But i can't persuade her otherwise. School got there first and told her it would be best so that has stuck.

And she needs school shoes.

hugs...... My daughter will be starting year 10 as well at a new school!!!!! Have pulled her out of her old supposedly "outstanding, no 1 in the field for speech residential school" as she HATED it there and the staff were two faced. The end straw for us for pulling her out was similar to what happened with you. We weren't happy with the selection that was offered and asked if she can do one option instead of 2. So instead of getting back to us and discussing it. They 'made' her pick music. She still had a month left to decide. That was one of the last things that they did but it's a long list.

So she's starting at the day special school that we fought the LEA against. They have just started to apparently offer 3/4 GCSE'S.

I'm hoping that she can stay there for just the 2 years and by the end of yr 11 will need a lesser higher level of salt input. As a special school in borough offer a wider range of OCR'S etc from level's 1-3.

She's really sporty and loves sports so hoping that she can do start with either a level 1/2 and end up being able to do a level 3.

She has been doing shotokan karate for 7 years now and is a 1st kyu. She belongs to a club that has an extensive and difficult syllabus hence why she hasn't got her black belt yet.

So i'm hoping that will be an avenue for her when she's older or something along those lines.

I need to kick transport up the tush tomorrow as i still haven't heard from them, a friend who son goes to the same school and lives just over a mile today rang them up and by the sounds of things they are in different taxi's. WTF!!!!
