Would Oscar Pstorias (sp) qualify for DLA?

dS1 (the nt one) asked me earlier if Oscar Pstorias would have a blue badge? I said i thought he would probably be entitled to one, ds1 replied " but he's faster than a car"
So DH, ds1 & I went on to discuss who would & wouldnt qualify for DLA & Blue badge..... I know we are a strange family!!

Probably now, as he has no problems getting around (despite the fact that he has no feet!). DLA is weird like that. I was told ds was not eligible as he could walk, it was irrelevant that he can only walk a few metres without needing to stop due to pain. Hmm

Ladysible, in your son's case he should be eligible for the mobility componant as it does say unable to walk or unable to walk without causing pain & discomfort etc etc.

I appealed, they said no. It's a crazy system. I'm going to fill in the DLA form for him, again. {bashes head against the wall}
