hope all those kiddos starting school or back to school this week, cope and enjoy as well as you lot enjoying the peace. Hope it all starts and continues to do well.

Hope all those kiddos already went back are having fun and everyones back to the old routines.

Hope this new academic year is good for everyone, these school holidays just go too quick for me. Haven't done all I should of done by now, always behind.

Thanks! Ds doesn't start until Thurs though but it's still all a bit scary!

Start of new school year is always hard for our kids - so much new stuff to get used to, changes to routine - so much emotional stress .

As a home educating family we aren't as affected as most on here, but we're back to the grind with our full-fat routine after watering things down over the summer. New timetables to sort out and lots of new things happening. It's an organisational challenge .

Flurry of activity here, naming new school uniform, going out to get the shoes that weren't available two weeks ago etc! Oh yes a trip to Staples to buy school bits and pieces. Two are back tomorrow and two on Thursday. DS1 has been eating me out of house and home and I'm slightly worried that his new trousers won't fit him and will be flapping round his ankles!!

DS developed noise intolerance issues over the summer, especially around people shrieking, so going back to mainstream school is going to be interesting. His language has really moved on but so has his ability to say what he does not like (school, teacher, HT, work etc etc etc). So i reckon at pick up time I will be doing this when they tell me about his day.
