dla renewals

Hi does anyone know if we will be asked to do a renewal before the award date is reached? our son has just been awarded dla until 2019 and it was so stressfull, now I'm wondering if will have to go through it all again before that date?

I am pretty sure that I asked the same question, and from memory they said that they'd write to me to ask if there are any changes etc. I was also to notify them of any changes.

You have to notify them of changes to your DSs condition before the renewal date. You should have received a booklet explaining this and other things you need to inform them of when you got your award letter.

I have always been written to well in advance of my sons DLA renewal date to prompt me to fill the paperwork in again. E.g. one of my DSs claims is due up in December, but I was sent the renewal paperwork in August.

People generally say you get the form 4 to 6 months before the Dla expires.
