we bought DD a leapster thingy for her 5th birthday and it's been the source of many outbursts of temper and frustration

have just found out why...

it has a virtual pet loaded, you can wash it, feed it and in return it displays love hearts etc but of course you customise your pet - can choose colour/ears/noise it makes etc.

when you've selected your options, the game asks out loud 'would you like to save your changes'
DD thinks the game will change back to the previous settings

AAARRGGHHHH!!!!

bloody thing is so unASDfriendly

Awwwww that's just typical! I don't blame you for showing it the window. lol.

We visited the local farm yesterday and while children were holding and feeding the guinea pigs my daughter asked what were their names, to which the man in charge if the animals replied beaver and honey! I just saw my daughter look down at the animals..ugh! She then said I am not holding a beaver and my brother is not holding a pot of honey! It was so funny but why can't they give them simple names like Tom, jack etc! It must be so difficult for our little ones with ASD to understand.
