and those who know me or my DS, what do you think his ed needs are??

What skills/knowledge does he need to acquire for his personal fulfilment and to help him live with some degree of independence in later life? Working out what he has the potential to achieve, what barriers are in the way, what strategies would help, what environment would be needed for him to feel secure enough to be able to learn?

There was something in one of the sendist case histories about a child with extremely complex health needs who would clearly never hold a job or live independently but whose need for a holistic 24 hour residential educational setting was upheld because for her education meant education for the business of living.

Don't know if any of that answers your question. Has there been any progress with appropriate tutors or alternative school settings that might meet his needs?
