Carer's Allowance Question..

I receive Carer's Allowance and would like to surrender a Life Assurance Policy to add to a deposit for a first-time buyers mortgage. Does anyone know if surrendering the Policy will affect my Carer's Allowance?

It's based on earnings, not savings, so as long as your interest and earnings aren't over (is it £105 a week?) the threshold, it shouldn't make any difference.
