I have direct payments for dd, I person I know can cope cant do it due to commitments and 2nd person gave it a go but said she can't cope. which I appreciate her telling me, and I know dd is hard work. a bit hard not to feel let down, and I just feel like crying

Now what do I do?
How do I go about finding someone else who can cope?

I have a friend who works as a TA in a special school who sometimes provides respite breaks for the families of one or two of the children in her class. would there be someone similar at dd's school or another local school who might be able to help?

This is where the 2nd person is from. But I may ask at other local SS school.

In our area you can get a PA via an agency if you've had no success finding one yourself. Your child's worker from social services usually has to get management agreement to up the hourly rate for this, but it is possible.
