My son (almost 4) doesn't start school for another year.
Do I ask for him, or do the OT and speech therapists statement him automatically time in for school.
I have no (first hand) experience of SN and am clueless.
TIA

You need to apply for a statement directly to the LEA in question (the pros you mention won't do so). You will need to write to the Chief Education Officer at your LEA and give them six weeks to reply (mark that date on your calendar).

IPSEA's website is very useful when it comes to statementing and this is their website www.ipsea.org.uk. There are also model letters on there you can use.
