What's happening dev?

devientenigma · 23/08/2012 11:15

sitting here in tears, DD took a huff cos she wanted me to go with her to collect her exam results and DS won't leave the effing house as usual, story of my life!!! Stuck between DS's safety and needs/behaviour and DD's emotional well being!!! I can't please the 2 and I'm realising how much DD has been let down over the years cos of the whole situation!!

oh, that is hard Sad

is there anyone who can go with your dd instead? I know its not the same, but an auntie, or godmother, who can then go out to lunch with dd, maybe? to make it a special day?

we are just beginning to face thism as dd2 has more and more things to do/wants friends round etc - we have to work out what to do with dd1, and none of the options look good right now.

shes already gone silver thanks, it is hard, you need to start sorting this now, otherwise you end up like us, your DD childhood nearly over and so much missed x

Yep... I get the supporting chalk and cheese thing. It's hard work and actually impossible to please both most of the time.
We do what we can Dev.

Really feel for you Dev & your poor DD. It is extremely difficult trying to do whats best for everyone when you have a child with special needs. I always feel guilty cos ds takes up my time 24/7 and im always letting the other 2 ds down and dont have same patience with them either, that i should have. Hope you manage to spoil DD later on and have a Brew yourself, your a great mum to both your dc just unfortunate you cant split yourself in half (((hugs))) x
