Talking of lining up

This is what DS2 did while I was making lunch. Apologies for the crummy floor. I haven't vacuumed for a whole day (never, ever get a navy carpet if you have kids, dogs, or if you ever eat or set foot outside.)

By the way, that's DS2's bottom - he was crawling along his line of soft toys, banking his head on each one of them!

Any chance you could work it in to a tidying habit? You sit with Brew and [no comment] and DS2 tidies up? Grin

Doh! i meant Biscuit of course - seeing as they don't do one for either chocolate or cake!

Funnily enough, if we start putting things in a box, he makes sure they ALL go in.

Then tips it all out again.

His need to group together all the things in the same category gets a bit much when he insists on finishing turning over all 100 cars (we've pruned, honest) or innocent fridge magnets before he'll move on to a different activity. I'll be glad when he's back at school because his level of OCD about these things (and walk routes) is becoming quite difficult.

Definitely showing a skills base there, just need to hone that talent.

Only 2 ish weeks and then back to school though!

And my carpet will be visible for 6 hours a day! :o

Dd1 is great at sorting out my shoes into pairs and piles. Dd2 however lines up my fridge magnets, trains, puzzle pieces and non useful stuff Grin

Lisa my dd2 lines up fridge magnets as well ;)

DS1 keeps reorganising the fridge magnets, so everything falls off the fridge!

I'm thankful that DS2 has grown bored of his sock pairing habit. I've even managed to sneak a few socks int his drawer and have them stay there. They're usually scattered all over the place, or paired up in the middle of the floor.
